Kovair Blog for Year End 2010

by Bipin A. Shah, CEO & Chairman, Kovair Software 7. December 2010 15:23
Dear Readers: After July, we have not updated you on this page due to several reasons but the primary one being that I have had extensive travel schedules and have not been able to devote the time to write on topics that would interest you.  Many things have happened at Kovair in 2010 and for that I refer you to please read our newsletter for December 2010 that has just been published and is accessible on our website www.kovair.com  at the bottom right of the Home page. In this blog, instead of writing something myself, I would like to provide a link to an interview of mine that was conducted by Samad Aidane of Guerilla Project Management www.Guerillaprojectmanagement.com.  In this interview Samad focused on questions about how Kovair executed a very large 14 tools integration project for Applications Lifecycle Management – ALM at a very large Global IT Services Company that is now in production with about 6,000 developers working from at least four different loc... Kovair Participates in the online PMXPO by Gantthead

by Bipin A. Shah, CEO & Chairman, Kovair Software 23. May 2010 05:59
On Thursday May 20, Kovair participated in the on line expo organized by Ganthead Publications www.gantthead.com  which they brand as PMXPO for Project Management Professionals. Several on line Expos are being organized by many media companies such as CM Crossroads www.CMCrossroads.com  (where we have participated in the ALM Expo), Tech Target and others that are drawing attendees in the thousands.  This one had more than 9,000 registrations and over 4,600 attendees.  Kovair had about 20% of the total attendees come to our booth.  This is a very efficient and cost effective way to organize Trade Shows where one attends a virtual booth on line and conducts an on line chat with the booth attendants and watches videos or demos for the products and down loads pertinent literature and papers of one’s interest.  Kovair had more than 500 downloads of various white papers, case studies and product data sheets from our booth and even though it may ... Spring Break and Beyond!

by Bipin A. Shah, CEO & Chairman, Kovair Software 28. April 2010 06:41
Early in April, we took a Spring break with the family as I had not taken a break in quite some time.  It was nice to get away to the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park and California’s Death Valley – some would wonder why there?  In the midst of all the enjoyment of still a bit chilly weather at the elevation of the Grand Canyon, we hiked down the Grand Canyon about half way down and back for the first time! The weather was beautiful otherwise and the colors at all three locations in their own way were outstanding! The Zion National Park where you actually are driving and walking at the bottom of the canyon is not as talked about as some of the other attractions.  A comparison with the Yosemite Valley would be that Zion has much more colorful sand stones carved by nature when viewed from the valley compared to Yosemite’s granite like grey rocks. Death Valley was wonderful at this time of the year while it could be unbearable in the mid summer... [More]

Applications Platform on the Cloud / Trip to Australia

by Bipin A. Shah, CEO & Chairman, Kovair Software 23. December 2009 07:51
Kovair as an Applications Platform on the Cloud For this last blog, before we say good bye to the year 2009 which has been a very good year for Kovair, I would like to focus on the use of “Kovair as a Platform on the Cloud” which simply put means that users configure their desired applications using Kovair as a Platform to create them with mouse clicks(no coding) using the Kovair Configurable Application Entities and use as required both the workflow capabilities of the Kovair Omniprocess engine and the Omnibus Enterprise Integration Bus for integrating third party applications for such implementations. Kovair in the last few months has had four such applications configuration examples in the Australian market and we would like all our readers to share in those successes and learn from them.  Let me list them very briefly below.  For any questions, please feel free to email to us at Marketing@Kovair.com and we would love to respond to you promptly. December Update

by Bipin A. Shah, CEO & Chairman, Kovair Software 10. December 2009 23:43
Greetings from Silicon Valley and hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving holiday and indulged in good shopping, if nothing else for the sake of the US economy and some new jobs! Eclipse Plug-in From Kovair:On the Kovair front, a few interesting things are worthy of note in this blog posting. We mentioned in one of our earlier posts about the completion of our Eclipse Plug-in for the Kovair Omnibus that will allow all Java developers using the Eclipse IDE environment to get connected with many other aspects of the ALM such as Requirements Management, Test Management and Release Management through the Kovair Platform without leaving their preferred IDE environment.  We have just completed a White Paper on this topic that will be added to our website in the next 2-3 days.  Please visit www.kovair.com and download this paper from the Collateral section of the website.  We think this is a very positive development for all Java developers to connect to the rest of the Applicat...
